Focuses on strong fundamental based traditional teachings of various asanas with techniques, indications and contra indications.

Introduction of Ashtanga yoga and Hatha Yoga, Asana, Pranayama, Shuddhikriya, meditation etc.

Level - 2

Duration: 3 Months

Course schedule: 1 June 2017 – 31 August 2017

Provides basic knowledge, improves communication skills and boosts confidence for the role-play of a teacher. Pupils having completed the above Level 1 are eligible for Level 2.

Paper I : Concept of Yoga.

  • Yoga - Definition, its philosophy and lication.
  • Paths of Yoga, various schools of Yoga.
  • Yoga – Sutra of Patanjali.
  • Eight limbs of Yoga – Ashtanga Yoga.
  • Hatha Yoga and its philosophy.
  • Importance of Pranayama, Meditation and Shavasana, warm-ups in Yoga.
  • Breathing exercises and its importance.
  • Asanas – indications and contra-indications.

Paper II : Anatomy Physiology

  • Body Anatomy and Physiology.
  • Energy Anatomy.
  • Panch Kosha concept.
  • Panch vaayu concept.
  • Introduction, structure of body, skeleton, muscular and digestive system, endocrine glands and the nervous system.

Paper III : Educational Psychology

  • Teaching Methodology.
  • Communication skills.
  • Concept of Education.

Paper IV : Practical and Orals.

Paper V : Internship of one month of the student with the organization under the guidance of the Guru.

Case Study : Student is required to conduct a survey along with practical of two patients with physical deficiencies.
